1. INTRODUCTION
Welcome to YMSL (Centre for Migration Studies) (“YMSL”, “we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms
and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website https://ymsl.co.za
and all educational services, online courses, training programs, workshops, and events
(“Services”) provided by YMSL.
2. Definitions
“Client” / “Student” / “Participant” refers to any individual or organisation that purchases,
enrolls in, or attends any YMSL course or program.
“Course” / “Program” / “Service” refers to any educational content, event, or training
(online or in-person) provided by YMSL.
“Website” means https://ymsl.co.za and any associated digital platforms or learning portals
operated by YMSL.
“You” / “Your” refers to the user of our website or client of our Services
3. Eligibility
To register or purchase from YMSL, you must be at least 18 years old or have consent
from a parent or guardian; provide accurate and complete information; and agree not to
misrepresent your identity or affiliation. YMSL reserves the right to refuse or terminate any
enrollment if false information is provided.
4. Course Enrollment and Access
Enrollment is confirmed once full payment has been received and verified by YMSL. All
course materials are provided for personal use only and may not be redistributed without
permission. YMSL may revoke access in cases of misconduct or plagiarism without
refund.
5. Fees & Payment
Payment must be made through approved gateways such as DPO Payments, EFT, or
credit card. Fees are subject to change, but confirmed enrollments will not be affected.
Failure to pay by the due date may result in cancellation without refund.
6. Refund and Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be submitted in writing to info@ymsl.co.za.
– If cancellation is received 14 or more days before the course start date, a 90% refund will
be issued (10% retained as administrative fee).
– If cancellation is received 7–13 days before the start date, a 50% refund will be issued.
– Cancellations less than 7 days before start, or after the course begins, are not eligible for
a refund.
– Participants may defer to a future intake (subject to approval). A deferment fee may
apply.
If YMSL cancels or postpones a course, participants may choose between a full refund or
transfer to the next course date. Refunds are processed within 14 business days via the
original payment method.
7. Conduct and Academic Integrity
Participants must uphold academic integrity. Any form of plagiarism or unethical behaviour
may result in expulsion without refund.
8. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights, including course content, documentation, and branding,
remain the property of YMSL. Reproduction or distribution without written consent is
prohibited.
9. Privacy and Data Protection
YMSL complies with data protection laws in Zambia. Personal data is used solely for
administration and communication purposes. You may request access, correction, or
deletion by emailing info@ymsl.co.za.
10. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
All Services are provided “as is.” YMSL makes no warranties on accuracy or
completeness. Liability is limited to the amount paid by the participant for the Service.
11. Force Majeure
YMSL shall not be liable for delays or cancellations due to natural disasters, pandemics,
strikes, or government restrictions.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Zambia. Disputes shall fall
under the jurisdiction of courts in Lusaka
13. Amendments to These Terms
YMSL may update these Terms at any time. The latest version will be available on
https://ymsl.co.za.
